Digital Radiology
At the dental practice of Dr. White & Dr. Myers, we proudly utilize enhanced digital radiology to benefit you and your family members.
Our team currently uses digital x-ray units which use 90% less radiation than do standard x-ray machines. It also gives us the ability to enlarge and enhance the image for a more accurate diagnosis. With your permission, we can send these images by email attachment to a specialist if required rather than by regular mail delivery thus saving time in providing treatment.
One of the most popular enhanced application the machine has is called subtraction radiography. This application has that ability to compare your new x-ray to your old x-ray. When the device is commanded to compare the pictures, every aspect of both pictures that are the exact same are deleted. Then, your dentist will be able to see any changes, big or small, that has occurred in your mouth over time.
